While definitely island in style the Highland Park 18 combines all the flavours of a classic single malt. It has a very aromatic nose with warm honey and fresh oak and flowers combined with a peat smoke fragrance. The body is remarkably smooth and rounded while retaning a firm edge with light salt, nuts, cinnamon and lots of honey. The island characrter rushes through in the finish which is spicy, oaky, smoky and hot. This whisky has it all.
